Anyone have experience with H that seems to be in one ear only? My left ear sound input is significantly louder than right and left gets pain with sound (cartilidge pain, ear tightness inside). Tinnitus seems to be on both sides but is less of a problem than the H.

Is pink noise still the suggested protocol for this situation?

If you were to read my success story on this link:

my hyperacusis began the same way.  Sound therapy would be recommended ideally with a trained clinician who can evaluate your Loudness Discomfort Levels.  TRT is the very best approach.  Pink noise is available if for any reason you are unable to pursue TRT.

Thanks, Dan. Sadly there are no Jasterboff TRT providers by me and because of COVID, I can’t get in to see any other audiologist. I would like to get my LDLs etc tested.

I have been doing 5 min on pink noise daily on my MacBook, on an off for a few weeks. My left ear does feel particularly irritated at the moment. Unsure if it’s the sound therapy or just from other exposure.
