Hello,

My doctor would like to prescribe an antihistamine called hydroxyzine to help me sleep and to reduce anxiety. It could be taken as needed and is non-addictive. Has anyone had experience with hydroxyzine or other antihistamines? If so, did they increase your hyperacusis or tinnitus symptoms?

Hi Llopossa
I use hydroxyzine. I don’t think it has made T Or H worse. They are just getting worse.
I think a couple times it has made me a little more anxious. I take a 1/4 of the lowest dose during the day and sometimes that makes me sleepy. Be careful.
Did you get your sound generators?
Darryl

Hi Darryl,

Unfortunately, my state is under lock down due to the Covid-19 virus. Only essential travel is allowed, so I will be getting the sound generators on 4/15, if the travel ban is lifted by then.

Hi Lillopossa,  sorry to hear of your problems with Antihistamine.  I have a facial itch and in the present climate, (covid 19) it's not advisable to put your finger around your mouth etc and I was put on Galpharm 10 mg, it helps, but has a way to go before I can stop scratching
