Hi all

Looking on line and found your forum, need a little help.
Over the last few weeks I've been picking up low intensity noises, when I'm sleeping and I wake in the early hours,
I can hear this like fan / air con sound and it's actually driving my ear drums crazy, I even turned the fridge off because I thought it was that, the craziness was still there.
I'm hoping it's an ear infection that's going to go away after a while,
If it help to describe what I'm going through, if I shake my head "only lightly even " I get these strange bells sounding ?

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Gary

Dumb question, but have you been to an ENT?

By the way, if you have a wax impaction, have them remove it manually, not blast it out with water; that is bad for ears.

Gaz do your "bells" sound something like a spanner being whacked against a metal pipe, and in time to the rhythm of your head shaking?

Hi Paulbe
Hard to say but you could say spanner against a pipe, I had not thought of that, defiantly to the rhythm of my head shaking, but they are not load just subtle bells
No one else I have spoke to can understand what I mean when I mention the bells when I shake my head.
This has only came about in the last few weeks, I've had a bad throat, cough and been chesty, I've put it down to that, HOPEFULLY
Do you have something similar going on inside your head ?

Thanks

I'm sorry about that mate, for the past few weeks not only have I got the bells, I seem to be picking up low intensity noise.
Also my ears seem very fragile and continually listing as if I've got a sea shell to them. Hahaha crazy
