Hi cmowen24, to answer your ? RE: noise cancelling headphones. I have had Hyperacusis for over 3 years now, I have special earplugs 15DB and a headset 35DB. I just recently purchased the 35 db Bose quietcomfort. They make a difference in blocking noise with frequency. They are much more comfortable and do not reverberate in your head. I highly recommend them, there worth the money, I wish I didn't wait so long. Hope the best for you.
