I couldn't find anything about this supplement using the search forum so i'll post it here. I saw someone posting that his H got much better after taking this supplement. He stated that for a long time he had no improvement. After he started taking it he did but of course this could also be a natural process.

Searching the internet i found some interesting things:

A patent: 01/09/2018: Use of nicotinamide riboside to treat hearing loss
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/9861651.html

http://www.timelesslifemag.com/index.php/2014/10/19/nicotinamide-riboside-nr-successfully-prevented-short-and-long-term-hearing-loss/

Preventing hearing loss sounds good, maybe it also helps with H.

I'd like to try it, anyone tried this?

I have been using nicotinamide for years.  I have had skin cancer for the past 20 years.  For the most part it has been manageable.  I have had nearly two dozen surgeries and had one melanoma.  Nicotinamide reduces the frequency of skin cancer by 20-30% if taken daily.  I have not noticed an improvement in hyperacusis but it has definitely made a difference in my skin cancer.  If you would like to read more about it, this is the study that was done:

Thx Dan.

Good to hear it helped you with skin cancer.

Are you still taking it and do you experience any side effects maybe?

How much did you take ? 3mg / kg body weight?

500 mg (1 capsule) a day.  It is the non flushing form of Niacin.  Yes, I will likely take it the rest of my life.

Hi Dan,

Sorry to hear about the cancer.

This lady, Deborah King was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 20 and looked for ways to help and came across Energy Healing - might be something in there might help at some point.

I think this is when she was curing herself with self heal, if my memory serves me correctly. She's now a well respected Psychic.

I recieved my Nicotinamide Riboside

https://www.thorne.com/products/dp/niacel-trade

I'll take it as of today (04/08/2018), I also already take NAC and METH for a week now.

I'm completely changing my lifestyle.

I stopped taking coveram 5/5 (perindopril) since 27/7/2018 for my blood pressure, instead i'm doing long walks everyday in the morning. Also when i need something from a shop, i'll walk instead of taking the car. I'm keeping detailed records of my bloodpressure. Currently it is basicly the same then when i took coveram. I try to avoid using earplugs as much as possible.

No wine and no coffee anymore. Tuesday evening i drunk some wine and wednesday was a bad day.
Now i'm 3 days in a row feeling a bit better. Today my kids and wife are at home so everything is a bit louder. I hope this will not set me back the next days.

I'm also playing some relaxing sounds from another PC when i'm in my home office. Pink/white noise is too boring.

I think stop taking coveram was a good thing because the pulsatile whooshing is slowly fading (coveram increases your heartrate) and can even create T, it might not have caused it in my case but it could maybe increase it when you already have it, who knows. Coveram also made me go to the toilet at night (1 or even 2 times), this is not the case anymore, i can sleep all night.

Short update.

H is slightly better and thus T also, much less pulsatile, thus more stable and less annoying.
I don't have earpain anymore and both ears almost feel 'normal'.

But I had some nights i experienced some wierd pain in my chest and left shoulder. First night i thought i might have had a bad position in bed on my left side, but last night i had it again and also sort of lightness in the head.

Fews days ago i ordered the TRT bible (Jastreboff) and in his book i read today that niacinamide (= nicotinamide) might be dangerous in large doses and may cause cardiovascular collapse (heart attack).
I only take 125mg at dinner. This is well below (3mg x 95kg = 285mg). Nevertheless i'm gonna stop taking it...

Bloodpressure however seems to be a yoyo during the day also.
