Albert is saying that he has had acute hyperacusis for 30 years.  He spends his time alone, and tries to avoid sound because of the pain it causes him to hear it.  He appears to have other health challenges as well.  He is convinced that when he (or other hyperacusics) avoid sound, it is not phonophobia (i.e., the fear of sound).  Rather, he compares a hyperacusic being around sound to a person who puts his hand next to a flame, realizes it burns, and will not do it again because he knows it would burn him.  He is trying to understand the root cause of hyperacusis and wonders if his auditory nerve is damaged.

Oh My, ((( Smiles )))

30 years... I wonder if pink nose could help Albert at all..
If he has tried it.. It's gonna be real hard to reverse 30 years
of sound avoidance or non treatment..
and try to get back into sounds that do hurt to hear...

Slowly..

Theirs no doubt about the pain involved and there will be hardship
and pain like being burnt involved in doing just that...

Is it ingrained neurologically now in his brain that it's been going on for so long ???

Can he reverse this and of course depends on what his condition consists of...
Can he improve at all...
It's not going to be easy for Albert..
I just don't know...
It must be real hard for him....

Thanks for the transalation...
