Ive heard that most hyperacusis is for higher pitch sounds. Mine very low level. I hear my neighbors bass..the vibrations.nobody else seems to hear it but for me it so intense and hurts my ears so much. Its like they always have their sound system on. It sends me into such a rage. I cannot even enjoy my own home anymore. I cry all the time. I cannot function. I literally want to die. Can anyone help me? Ive had 2 surgeries ok my ears. On the right he put an artificial bone in because he said i had ssdc. But that did not fix it. I cant live like this anymore. Please. Anyone?

Hyperacusis can definitely be for bass sounds. If you have loudness intolerance to soft sounds, you may also have misophonia or recruitment. At any rate, you need treatment. Go to ATA.org and find a tinnitus professional in your area. (Tinnitus specialists treat hyperacusis).  Hang in there. There IS hope.

Hyperacusis is really rough for sure but I agree, please hang in there, never ever give up, when you least expect it, a work-around will happen or something will happen. I finally contacted the ATA and they sent me a list, they were super helpful. I will never forget calling them and having a wonderful woman talk with me and listen to me. I don't think I will ever be able to repay all the nice people who helped me. Everyone's case is different but for ten long years I suffered. I couldn't stand anywhere, anyplace. Please keep on keeping , we need you. You WILL get through this, I promise.
