Bill Austin, founder, has been recognized many times for his humanitarian efforts to "help broken ears throughout the world."  It is no surprise that Starkey saw the need here and wanted to help.   I just wish other manufacturers of hearing instruments would follow suit.  For example, are any hearing aid manufacturers helping out our veterans, some of which have had to deal with explosions and gunfire?
