Hi there,

I have hyperacusis and tinnitus and have lurked around the board picking up information for a while.

My tinnitus doesnt change often but whenever it does I go to this site out of curiosity to see what it has changed to http://www.szynalski.com/tone-generator/

I was surprised last week when it changed because I was able to hear the upper frequencies of 16-19000 htz that Id never heard before. I listened to it twice for about 30 seconds.

Shortly afterwards my tinnitus changed/reacted to it. Constant sounds of bells and missles launching have been added to the usual sounds and they are four times the volume of my usual sounds. My hearing seems a little different too but I cant pinpoint exactly what it is.

The volume has started to go down a week later but I was wondering if anyone had experienced something like this? Should I be worried? Will it pass? Id appreciate any thoughts anyone has.

Thanks for reading/replying

It may. My T on a level of 2 increased to a 9 after listening to binaural beats for a split second. T went from 1 ambient tone to 2 (teakettle and jet engine). Two years later the volume has decreased to about a 3-4 but both tones remain present.
