10 months ago I had acoustic trauma while standing in front of some huge speakers for 20 mins at a concert. I have these symptoms:

1) tinnitus, mostly in my left ear where I heard a crunching noise before moving away from the speakers

2) fullness in the ears (mostly in the right side which were generally closer to the speakers)

3) crackling popping noises, everytime I swallow or introduce tension into my jaw but sometimes when just talking.

I have had lots of acupuncture which has helped a bit. And cranial work from a chiropractor hoping that the crackling noises are due to TMJ joint disfunction. Both the treatments have slightly reduced the tinnitus and fullness which is cause for hope but no sign of them going. No progress on the ear noiese.
Please help, I feel this is taking over and ruining my life...

Thanks in advance
Alex

Yep,11 months for me! I was exposing myself to loud music, video games etc. You may want to try trt through an experienced audiologist that uses the jasterbroff model for hyperacusis/tinnitus. It has worked quite a bit for me but I have a ways to go before feeling complete again. I still have sensitivity to high frequencies.
