I got a phone call this morning from my credit card company.  While checking something, I was put on hold.  The music was awful and after a couple of minutes I had to hang up without completing the conversation. 
Does anyone have any suggestions on  what to do about this?  It happens a lot.

I was working in a call center before my "incident".  Yes, hold music is usually pretty bad-either its very static-y, or sounds like someone keeps flipping stations, or way too loud, and usually just "elevator type" music.  (A few times I was fortunate to get stuck on hold and some 70s classics were playing... My cell phone is a bother to me, now.  I suggest putting it on speaker and set it down.  you will hear the interruption when someone comes on the line.   Works for me anyways...

The only way I can talk on my cell phone is with speaker on.
