this is a typical hyperacusis symptom? is music a thing of the past as it is technically a very complex thing with multi instruments being played various frequencies entering different  octaves of hearing at all at the same time

yes, music is tricky and no not a thing of the past.   some types maybe.   i was getting into opera just before H hit.  now, i have not yet gotten back, but maybe.   you must find music that does not hurt. and it is out there.  i have always found something.   and i am not talking about the nature cds. but there is always those.
